Unfortunately, developing a Content Marketing Strategy is not as simple as it sounds. You can’t just go out and hire a person to write hundreds of articles. Then throw them up on your website or anywhere online and expect results like being #1 in the search engines. It just doesn’t work that way.

There is good news…

If you know what you’re doing there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Today, I’m going to give you 6 Content Marketing Tips that are easy. And, can help you jump start your success online, especially if you are a DIY (Do It Yourselfer).

Content Marketing Tip #1
Writing your content is the simple part. The hardest part is promoting it. Rule of thumb: you should spend double the amount of time promoting it as you do writing it.

Content Marketing Tip #2
Content isn’t just writing articles. Consider videos (one of my favorites), photos, infographics and other types of content.

Content Marketing Tip #3
Have a plan in place to always be writing. Once you get started writing, keep doing it or you’ll see a drop in traffic and sales. In other words, be consistent.

Content Marketing Tip#4
Creating a title for your content is typically the biggest roadblock. Get on Google and search for “title generators” to compliment your brainstorming.

Content Marketing Tip #5
You must have a Facebook Page for your niche or industry so you can post your content there first as soon as you place it online. With a social media presence your content can easily go viral bringing in tons of traffic that equals a lot of business.

Content Marketing Tip #6
Build a list. If you don’t have an autoresponder account consider subscribing to MailChimp (what I use), Aweber, Constant Contact or the many others that offer this service. As with social media, you need to have a list that you can notify people you have new content. In my industry, a list is as precious as gold and I bet it is in your industry too.

That’s it for now. I have more content marketing tips I’ll send you in next week.
