If you haven’t already, you might try taking Facebook’s social advertising offerings for a spin. The ability to target ads to people based on very specific criteria and cap your ad spend at a daily amount of your choosing makes for a very cost-effective way to reach consumers, especially for smaller operations.

Facebook is poised to become the leader in online display ad sales this year, according to a recent post on All Facebook.  Digital marketing consultancy eMarketer recently released data showing that Facebook has
surpassed Yahoo in display advertising and is expected to have a 17.7% share of the market this year.  That number is expected to rise to 19.4% in 2012.

Facebook’s growth in display advertising marketing share comes as the social behemoth approaches 700 million users, a milestone it’s expected to reach this summer. On November 14, 2011 I put together a video about our Affordable Search Engine Ranking Services – ASERS for short.

It is December 13… right at a month later. Check out where this video is in the google organic listings:

Yep, it’s ranking #5 on the 1st page for the keyword phrase “best search engine optimization consultants.”And, I’m still holding steady at #1 and #2 positions on the first page for my website.

You have to admit that’s pretty awesome considering I’m competing with “about 460,000 results.”

Sure, the video is kinda quirky. But, it just goes to show you that the search engines love video.

How’d I do it?

I carefully analyzed the keywords I could rank…the most crucial step. Put together a video that included my keywords and placed my keywords as tags when I uploaded to YouTube.

Finally, I did a little SEO (search engine optimization)…smoke and mirrors as some of my clients call it.

As a small business wouldn’t you like to be saying that? It could mean more eyes on your website which translates to more business and hopefully more sales!

You’re probably saying she’s crazy! And I am. In fact I’m very excited today.

Let me tell you why…

I started this website – Best Search Engine Optimization Consultants – back in May, 2011.

The goal was and still is to help local small businesses get top ranking in the search engines. After all, I’ve had so many folks asking me how I built all these websites and am ranking in the search engines so well. And, making sales!

Now, I don’t profess to be an absolute expert at search engine optimization. But, I know we’re good. See the proof below.

Today is August 10, 2011. Approximately 2 1/2 months since I put up this website.

This morning I checked my ranking on Google for the exact keyword phrase “best search engine optimization consultants”…[side note: the way you check the exact keyword phrase is to put the term all in quotes "|". These are searches in Google that match exactly this keyword phrase].

Check out the screen shot below:Note, the #1, #2 & #3 positions are this website – www.susancbridges.com.

A couple of other items to note. This is a new website. There are over 345,000 results [see this number below the search engine bar]. I have only run 2 SEO Campaigns. 1 on 6/1/2011 and 1 on 7/20/2011.

Frankly, I don’t know how long it will stay that way. No one does. Because Google does what we call the ‘google dance’ and websites dance around all over the place all the time.

However, if I keep doing what I have been doing I venture to say my site will maintain its 1st page ranking. I’ll keep you posted on progress.
